McKenna (Wilson) - Requiem mass for the repose of the soul of Mrs Shirley Agnes McKenna of Glenaladale, will be offered at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Bairnsdale on Tuesday (Jan. 4), 2022, at 11.00am. The funeral will leave the church at the conclusion of prayers for the Bairnsdale Monumental Lawn Cemetery. Flowers welcome or donations to the Fred Hollows Foundation would be appreciated. Shirley’s service will be livestreamed on the ‘Stephen Baggs Funeral Directors’ Facebook page. As per the latest Department of Health rulings, please note that QR code check in will be required for attendance at this service. McKenna (Wilson) - Shirley Agnes of Glenaladale. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on 22nd December 2021, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of John (dec.). Loving mother of Marian, Chris (dec.), Julie, Anthony, Mark, Josie and Tim. Adored grandma of 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Forever in our hearts. God bless. Dear Mum, You were the hardest working woman we have ever known, the greatest recycler and the best cook, you could make anything taste delicious without a hundred ingredients. I will miss our rainfall, weather, gardening and recipe discussions. Much love and respect always - Marian, Russell, Jake, Ash, Ari and Havana. Dear Mum/Grandma, Your incredible ability to keep up with our busy lives, always remembering to wish us well through the countless exams, job interviews, holidays and birthdays has been greatly appreciated. We will miss you and always remember what a special person you were. Love from Julie, Brian, Johnathon, Laura and Adrian and our little fluffy friend Oreo. Dear Mum, I will remember you the way you were with your gumboots on feeding calves and digging in your garden. The weather report won’t come now and the chook news has gone to air for the last time. We won’t remember you for your pill box and wheelchair, you were a formidable force and that’s how you’ll stay forever in our hearts.
