Hamilton - David Ian, of Raymond Island. Passed away surrounded by love, on 21st July 2025, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband and Soulmate of Judy (dec.). Cherished father of Bree and Jade, and proud father-in-law of Travis (dec.), Greg, and Jim. Devoted Pa of Ashley, Jake, and Joey; Zac, and Sabrina. Dad, you were my world, a steadfast presence of love, guidance, and unwavering support. From my earliest memories to the moments we shared later in life, you were always there to lift me up. My one true constant. Thank you for being the incredible person and father you were. I love you deeply and miss you more than words can say. - Bree Dad, saying goodbye to you one last time was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I was able to do this because you taught me strength and compassion. You were always there for me when I needed you. You offered guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love, shaping me into the person I am today. Every lesson you taught me, will forever be in my heart. I take comfort knowing you are with mum, at peace, surrounded by love. Though the pain of your absence is heavy, your love and memory will continue to live within me. Thank you for everything, Dad. Your legacy will never fade, and I will love you always. - Jade. Staying with Nana and Pa was always our favorite adventure. From bike rides around the island and mini golf in Lakes Entrance, fishing, and visits to the playground, each moment was filled with joy. We loved tinkering with you in the shed and those cozy movie afternoons. Being a little spoilt by you made us feel so special and cherished. Thank you, Pa for the love and warmth you brought into our lives. - Ashley, Jake, Joey, Zac and Sabrina. A gathering to celebrate David’s life will be held at the Paynesville Pub on Saturday (Aug. 16) from 4.00pm. In true David's style, there will be live music, playing all his favourite songs, with nibbles to enjoy. Bree and Jade, and their families would be honoured if family and friends would join them in celebrating the wonderful man David was, and share a story or two as well. A private cremation will take place before David’s farewell.
